Terms of Use

Effective date: 2026-07-12 · Last updated: 2026-07-12

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the individual operator of CloudReady (the “operator”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), who operates the CloudReady website and applications at getready.cloud (the “Service”). CloudReady is the product name, not the legal contracting party. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1.Who we are

CloudReady is the name of the learning product and website. It is not currently a separately incorporated company, association, or other legal entity. Until a legal entity is formed or another operator is published on this page, the Service is operated by the individual operator of CloudReady, an individual publisher based in the country or region where the operator is legally resident.

Because no incorporated structure exists today, CloudReady does not have a company legal form, company registration number, tax identification number, or registered office. You can reach the operator at [email protected] for general and legal enquiries, or at [email protected] for account and support requests. The Service is hosted using infrastructure providers including Vercel and Supabase.

2.Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority, you confirm you have your legal guardian’s permission.

Accounts are created and secured through third-party single sign-on with Google or GitHub; we do not manage passwords. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the identity provider you use and for all activity under your account. You agree that the profile information the identity provider shares with us (your email address, and where available your name and avatar) is accurate, and you may update your display name and avatar in your profile. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

One person, one account. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, or create an account on behalf of anyone else without authorisation.

3.What the Service provides

CloudReady is an independent study aid for people preparing for Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) certification exams. Depending on your account, the Service offers practice questions, timed mock exams, a no-account sample challenge, question search, readiness dashboards and progress analytics, bookmarks and confidence signals, spaced-repetition review of questions you answered incorrectly, and the ability to report problems with a question.

The Service is provided free of charge in its current form. We may introduce paid features, sponsorships, or other commercial features in the future; if we do, the applicable price and terms will be presented before you incur any charge, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.

4.Study aid only — no guarantee of results

CloudReady is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. “AWS”, “Amazon Web Services”, exam codes such as “SAA-C03” and “CLF-C02”, and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, used in plain text only to identify the exams and services learners are studying for. We do not use AWS logos, do not claim AWS partner status, and do not administer official AWS exams.

Our content is created and maintained independently. Questions on the Service may be hand-authored, drafted with the assistance of automated tools (AI) and then reviewed, or based on publicly available AWS documentation and certification guides; they are our interpretation of the exam domains and are not actual exam questions. You must not use the Service to share, request, upload, or reconstruct real AWS exam questions, exam dumps, or other unauthorized certification content. AWS exam content, format, scoring, and passing marks can change at any time without notice.

We make no promise or guarantee that using the Service will result in your passing any exam, and readiness scores, accuracy rates, and similar analytics are estimates for study purposes only. You remain solely responsible for your exam preparation and outcomes.

5.Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:

  • copy, scrape, harvest, republish, resell, or otherwise commercially exploit the questions, explanations, or other content of the Service;
  • use automated means (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to access the Service, or circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security measures;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying source code, models, or question bank except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • submit content through the question-report feature that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, infringing, or that contains malware or personal data of third parties;
  • submit, request, upload, distribute, or attempt to reconstruct real certification exam questions, exam dumps, leaked materials, or other unauthorized test content;
  • interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks that host it, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system;
  • use the Service to build or train a competing product, or to develop a competing question bank.

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms, and — where the law requires — cooperate with authorities.

6.Content you submit

The only content you can submit to us is a question report — a predefined reason and an optional free-text comment (up to 1,000 characters) flagging a problem with a question. You must not include personal data or confidential information in a report.

You retain ownership of what you submit. By submitting a report, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use, store, reproduce, and act on it for the purposes of operating, moderating, and improving the Service and its content. You confirm you have the right to grant this licence. We may remove or decline to act on any submission at our discretion.

7.Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, question bank, explanations, and CloudReady branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own, non-commercial exam preparation. No other rights are granted.

8.Privacy and data protection

Until a standalone Privacy Policy is published, this section explains the core personal data processing for the Service. The operator acts as the data controller for account and learning data. To run the Service we process your account identity (email, and where available name and avatar from your identity provider), your learning activity (sessions, answers, scores, progress, bookmarks, confidence signals, and review scheduling), question reports you submit, and technical data needed for security, analytics, debugging, and service reliability. We use processors including Supabase, PostHog, Sentry, and Vercel.

We use this data to provide accounts, remember progress, grade practice and mock exam sessions, personalize review, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and understand whether the product helps learners. We do not sell your personal data. You can request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of your data by contacting [email protected]. Depending on your location, you may also have the right to object to processing or complain to your local data protection authority. A fuller standalone Privacy Policy should be published before broad public launch or monetization.

9.Availability and changes to the Service

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, and add, change, or remove questions and features, at any time. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for any unavailability.

10.Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose (including passing any exam), non-infringement, or availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in that case, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted, and your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.

11.Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law (including your rights as a consumer).

Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, loss of profits, data, or opportunity, or for exam fees, retake costs, or failure to pass any exam; and because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to one hundred euros (€100) or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.

12.Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party right. This clause does not apply to the extent a loss results from our own breach or is otherwise not permitted to be shifted to a consumer under applicable law.

13.Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us at [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

14.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, by a notice on the Service or by email) before it takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, you should stop using the Service.

15.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the country or region where the operator is legally resident, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and this choice of law does not deprive you of them.

We aim to resolve disputes informally first — please contact us at [email protected]. Where consumer mediation, online dispute resolution, or similar complaint-handling systems are available under applicable law, you may use them in addition to contacting us. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Failing resolution, disputes are subject to the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable law, subject to any mandatory rule that lets a consumer bring proceedings in their own courts.

16.General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign or transfer the Service, content, accounts, and these Terms to a newly formed CloudReady legal entity or another successor operator, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, provided the successor remains responsible for the Service obligations after transfer. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. They are provided in English; any translation is for convenience only.

17.Contact
